A carefree poncho with an asymmetrical close. . .or a sassy shawlette? Buttons give you two ways to enjoy your creative artwear. Design note: Start with good wools or ribbons to provide body. Then play with novelty yarns, eyelash, runners, and your favorite morsels whenever you wish. The results will always be different and always wonderful! The gauge is intentionally looser than you would expect with worsted weight yarns in order to keep it soft and fluid, so avoid yarns that actually knit at 3 sts per inch on US Size 10.5 needles. Go ahead and vary the locations of the eyelets and garter ridges as you proceed to give the poncho/shawl your own personal design!

Materials:

Yarn – Approximately 900 yards total

Needles – US Size 10.5 (6.5mm) circular needles, circular, 26" or longer; US Size 9 (5.5 mm) needles, 24" or longer

Gauge: About 3 sts/inch in pattern on US Size 10.5 needles.

Finished size: 18" x 54" x 37"
